The eight plans do not buy the same thing. UptimeRobot, StatusCake, HetrixTools and Pulsetic price by monitor count: 10 on UptimeRobot Solo, 100 on StatusCake Superior, 30 on HetrixTools Professional, and 10 or more on Pulsetic Solo. Pingdom and Uptime.com price bundles of checks plus SMS alerts; Uptime.com's first tier is 10 basic checks, 1 advanced check and 25 SMS alerts.
Better Stack prices by responder license, with monitors as add-ons. Site24x7 prices by websites, 25 on Web Uptime, and shows its monthly price only as a struck-through figure beside the annual rate. Entry price alone does not show size: billed monthly, $9 buys 10 basic checks and 1 advanced check at Uptime.com, $13 buys 10 monitors at UptimeRobot, and $9.95 buys 30 monitors at HetrixTools.
Monthly against annual billing
UptimeRobot's pricing page says annual billing saves about 15%, but the saving differs by plan, so compare the two prices. StatusCake says "2 months free" on annual billing, Uptime.com says a yearly plan saves over 20%, and Site24x7 says yearly plans typically earn a 10% discount.
Pulsetic prints $90 a year and no per-month annual rate, so its annual cell is a yearly total, not a monthly figure.
Costs on top: SMS credits, seats and status pages
UptimeRobot sells SMS and voice credits as one-time packs: 10 credits for $3.00, 100 for $15.00, 200 for $25.00, 500 for $55.00 and 1,000 for $100.00. Extra login seats on Team and Scale are $15 or $19 a month per seat, billed annually or monthly.
Solo lists 10 to 20 included credits; an SMS to the US takes 1 and a voice call 2. Better Stack's extra status page is $15 a month, billed monthly, or $12 a month, billed annually.
Pulsetic lists these add-ons, per month: $0.20 a monitor, $0.10 per SMS or call, $2 a notify-only seat and $8 a teammate. Uptime.com sells status pages as an add-on, and its price was not seen on the rendered page.
Free plans, refunds and the lowest entry price
Before paying any of these, UptimeRobot's Free plan covers 50 monitors at no cost and with no credit card, HetrixTools Free 15 and Pulsetic Free 10; best free uptime monitoring tools sets them side by side.
UptimeRobot advertises a 14-day money-back guarantee on new subscriptions and upgrades, requested from support within 14 days of payment, while its Terms say withdrawal does not apply once you have started using the paid service with your consent.
Better Stack lists a 60-day money-back guarantee, Uptime.com a 30-day one for new users, and Pulsetic refunds the first order within 20 days. StatusCake instead offers a 7-day free trial, and Site24x7 a 30-day trial.
